Our Mission
Our Mission is to raise Scholarship Money for young men and women wanting to further there education.
Our Junior Instructional Golf Program.
We are teaching over 80 to 120 Children a summer in how to play the game of golf, this is a free program
to all participants. We also provide a two day golf tournament sponsored by community businesses.
Our History
The Cosmo Knights Social Club (A Non-for-Profit Organization) was organized in March of 1948, to assist existing programs
in their effort to aid the Indianapolis community, i.e., YMCA, etc. and to promote social and recreational activities for
the Indianapolis community and its' members. The Annual Amateur Scholarship Golf Tournament was initiated in 1975, to promote
community interests in offering scholarships to deserving students, who otherwise would not have an opportunity to further
their education. The Scholarship Committee has maintained high standards, while being sensitive to the disadvantaged/economically
deprived applicants, who have applied for financial assistance. In 1991 the Cosmo Knights obtained a 501 c3 tax status, which
means all donations and in-kind services are tax deducible to the extent permitted by the law. Over ninety (90) students
as well as the United Negro College Fund have received thousands of dollars in scholarship support grants. Scholarship funds
are raised by club members soliciting financial support from the local business community. Local businesses have purchased
advertising Tee/green Signs and many individual patrons have made donations to support the scholarship and fund raising efforts.
